Author Biography

Russell C. Arslan, a retired university economics professor with entrepreneurial portfolio describes himself as an internationalist bent on geopolitical and environmental issues. Just as importantly, he is a storyteller who will entertain you. Having traveled extensively in Asia, Europe, Central and South America and Africa for more then five decades, he brings his knowledge and experiences into his writings. His genre is political and scientific themes as contentious as global warming, nuclear proliferation, or as threatening as terrorism. During his university career, his vocation was that of teacher not an impersonal academic who professed knowledge of a subject material. His writings display a passion for political economy. "The factors limiting your success are the limits of your own experiences and knowledge." This is a postulate that threads its way through his writings. "You can't teach or write what you don't know or feel." His books are filled with information and an agenda for attacking social ills. He lives with his wife Janis in Bel Air California. His quest for adventure and insights for his novels have them traveling all over the globe for story lines. At the first printing of You Are Safe they are in Istanbul doing research for another book. Upon his return, he will continue his writings, entrepreneurial activities, sponsor-ship of students and mentoring endeavors.
