Orphans Evade the Authorities - Paperback
by Michelle Marcotte (Author), Diego Sanguino (Cover Design by)
In 2034, ten years after the election of an authoritarian government, a breakaway region of the United States, plus Alberta, Canada (USAC), is in economic ruin and its people are sharply oppressed. Sixteen-year-old twin telepaths, talented violinists, abandoned when their anti-government parents barely escaped arrest, help others escape to the United States and Canada. With that experience, and with a fake UK diplomat providing cover, they head to Budapest, Hungary to rescue their parents. Here their stories collide with an orphaned Ukrainian surrogate mother fleeing a Russian invasion with her American children. Barely escaping Budapest, the twins realize that only a revolution will allow their parents to come home.
