Vienna, late 1944. Trapped between two fronts, the Third Reich has initiated the counterattack that will decide the outcome of World War II. While preparing for the New Year's Concert, conductor Clemens Krauss receives a visit from an enigmatic SS captain who seems determined to find out his relationship with alleged traitors to the Nazi regime. Although Krauss and his partner, singer Viorica Ursuleac, are two of Adolf Hitler's favorite artists, the conductor will be forced to face a past full of dark secrets, doubts about his loyalty to the Reich, and a revelation that could endanger the most famous concert in the world. A concert that was born precisely with the rise of Nazism. With extensive documentary work and faithful to his literary style, Martín Llade, the classical music journalist who gives voice to the New Year's Concert, takes us on a journey to the heart of the famous Vienna gala.
