Sims's books include \u003ci\u003eCanoes: A Natural History in North America\u003c\/i\u003e, \u003ci\u003eTrue Stories: A Century of Literary Journalism\u003c\/i\u003e, and \u003ci\u003eLiterary Journalism in the Twentieth Century\u003c\/i\u003e. He was the president of the International Association for Literary Journalism Studies from 2014 to 2016. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eMark Kramer\u003c\/b\u003e was writer-in-residence in the American Studies Program at Smith College (1980-1990), writer-in-residence and a professor of journalism at Boston University (1990-2001), and writer-in-residence and founding director of the Nieman Program on Narrative Journalism at Harvard University (2001-2007).
