The author spent the majority of her time at a Red Cross shelter specifically created to assist Gulf Coast refugees in rebuilding their lives. The author has also volunteered and contributed greatly to various organizations throughout the city of Indianapolis, including United Way. At 31 years old the author is dedicated to the well-being and service of her fellow man. The author is the Co-founder of a grassroots faith based non-profit organization that is in its beginning stages. Its mission is to help children who have suffered the loss of a parent or guardian.
