Even for seasoned scholars, reading ancient manuscripts is often restricted to a purely academic setting. The idea that someone would carry around a facsimile of an ancient manuscript as their personal Bible is as unthinkable as it is impractical-such facsimiles are often as heavy as they are expensive.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eI eventually came up with the idea that a facsimile of an ancient manuscript of the Greek New Testament should be made into an affordable handheld book with chapter and verse numbers in the margin to facilitate reading. \u003cem\u003eThe Vaticanus Bible: Gospels\u003c\/em\u003e was the first volume of such (pseudo-)facsimile Bibles. \u003cem\u003eThe Vaticanus Bible: Acts and Epistles\u003c\/em\u003e marks the second volume to complete the extant New Testament from Codex Vaticanus.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eSuch a volume could not have been produced without the help of a number of people and institutions.
